Photoshop HW: 1

 Video Tutorials on Photoshop Tools

Video 1

This video shows us how to use the "Clone Stamp Tool". This tool is used to tool up images with other images taken like it, in order to remove errors. These errors can include peoples' eyes being closed in one image and not the other or having a person in the background of an image and not the other. I think this tool will be a bit challenging to use, just because you have to be careful with the images that you are taking your sample point from. I really liked how this instructor broke down the steps on how to use the tool. The most interesting part of this video was how easily you can distort images with where you put your sample point.

Video 2

This video goes over how to use the "Marquee Tool" in Photoshop. This tool lets the artist select rectangles, squares, and ellipses then with that shape you can move it anywhere in your work. This video also goes through how to make a perfect selection, and a move selection; a perfect selection allows for a perfect square selection and the move selection allows you to move the shape you cut. I think this tool will be fairly easy to use as long as, you remember which selection to use. I think the most interesting part of this video was how it was broken down into each different selection type, as well as, she used different examples and explains how layers work into the marquee tool.

Video 3

This video goes through how to use the "Color Balance Tool". This tool is used to change and redo color imperfections in your image on Photoshop; as well as, you can make different color changes to make different types of depth on your photo. The instructor talks through the color balance tool first with using the grey point eye dropper and a color balance layer; he also talks about how the color filter is another tool that you can use with the color balance tool. I think that this tool will be a little difficult to get the hang of just because, you need to understand how different colors will effect different white points and shades of photos; once you understand how colors play into each other and how to get a different shade you want the tool will be easy to use. I thought the most interesting part of this video was how he went through and showed many different types of photos and how to change different problems through the color balance tools. The instructor also goes through a number of other tools that help aid the color balance tool which was very helpful.
