Business Cards

Artist Statement:  For this project I used the Adobe System, InDesign. Through the tools and applications of InDesign, I was able to make three different business cards. These business cards have a few facets: I included my logo in all three of the cards, my cell phone number is also included, a website to reach me at, and an email. Giving multiple ways of communication is always a good idea when it comes to business cards. I choose mainly pastel colors when designing my business cards. I chose pastel color because I think they worked best with the logo I chose.  However, I did make one of the business cards a bright red; I chose red to be one of the colors since it really “pops” out at a viewer and makes it “unforgettable”. portfolio project

 Artist Statement:  While searching for what kind of layout I wanted to use for my final portfolio, I ran into many of them being very “busy” and they all seemed too packed with unneeded details or designs. I am a minimalist. I do not like books, websites, or spaces to be packed with “things”, I think that it is very distracting. So, for my final portfolio I decided to stick with a minimalistic theme. I mainly used rectangles and squares as a basis for the whole project. Also, I stuck to around the same two colors: purple and blue. Through the entire project the font is the same and the same size for the different types of paragraphs. I thought making the portfolio straight to the point, is a good tactic not only to say the eyes of people who cannot focus on that many details, but as a point that I am a person that gets the job done clean and efficiently. Overall, this project was fun to do and really showed me how much art I have accomplished over the semester.

Autoscopy Project

Original Image:  Additional Images:  Artist Statement: This project was one of the harder projects I had to complete this year. Starting off, I did not know what I wanted to do, or how I wanted to manipulate my image. Originally, I was only going to use nature as the images to mask and add onto my own self portrait; however, I wanted to be more original than that. I decided that I would stick with the nature theme, but add on more of an environmental conservation theme. So, I went to course of pollution, greenhouse emissions, and other ideas that revolve around activities that have been hurting the earth. I wanted to portray a contrast between hurting the earth and loving the nature it provides us with. Some of the images I included were of coal power plants, oil spills, smog in India, and trash pollution in our oceans.
