portfolio project

 Artist Statement:  While searching for what kind of layout I wanted to use for my final portfolio, I ran into many of them being very “busy” and they all seemed too packed with unneeded details or designs. I am a minimalist. I do not like books, websites, or spaces to be packed with “things”, I think that it is very distracting. So, for my final portfolio I decided to stick with a minimalistic theme. I mainly used rectangles and squares as a basis for the whole project. Also, I stuck to around the same two colors: purple and blue. Through the entire project the font is the same and the same size for the different types of paragraphs. I thought making the portfolio straight to the point, is a good tactic not only to say the eyes of people who cannot focus on that many details, but as a point that I am a person that gets the job done clean and efficiently. Overall, this project was fun to do and really showed me how much art I have accomplished over the semester.

Logo Project

Logo Project          This project was completed on Adobe Illustrator. At first when I was told that I had to make a logo or symbol that represented myself, I was pretty scared of the project; mainly because I could not think of objects that encompassed who I was as a person completely. During the sketch phase of the project, I drew a water drop,  ASL "Y"-hand, books, ice cream cone, and the North Star. All of these symbols represented a part of myself or my life that has been super meaningful. I decided upon combining the water drop and the North Star; the star and the water drop represent my relationship with my dad and the years I spent competitively swimming. Somewhere Project

  Original Scene Photo:  Original Personal Photo: Artist Statement: For this project we had to incorporate ourselves into a movie, series, or famous photo. I choose to include myself in my favorite film, Good Will Hunting. This movie has always held a special place in my heart, from heart-breaking therapy scenes to the intellectual content, and breath-taking cinematography talent from the director Gus Van Sant. The score of the film is also one of the best parts of the film. I first watched this movie after going on a Matt Damon movie watching spree with my dad. I will never forget the amazing acting that was displayed in this movie both by Matt Damon and Robin Williams.   To start this art piece, I began with watching the movie trying to find a scene that I thought would be easier to edit myself into.
